After buying the item i received a receipt from paypal which i forwarded to the seller and asked him to confirm he has received payment and to dispatch it, but the seller has not contacted me yet or given any indiacation the item has been dispacthed. In his profile it says the item should be dispacthed on next working day which is today and it is next day delivery, but the problem is that he hasnt given any indicatioon he received payment for the item or that it has been dispatched. Shoudld i be worried?

how long can YOU list BIN items on ebay? afaik maximum was 10 days, then i noticed a 30 day option so i have been using that - all good! so good that after i had relisted some items that didn't sell i thought i would go back and increase the duration from 5 to 30 days. it turns out that you cannot increase the duration once an item is active. however, in response to an email ebay did not mention that, what they did say was that i was not eligible for a 30 day listing as i do not have a shop WTF? i've been listing things on 30 days for the last month and have sold about 20 items. i'm reluctant to mention this to them as they might take the option away. does anyone else have this option on a standard, non powerseller account? According to a recent announcement by ebay you need to register as a business by 20th July (tomorrow) or you lose your powerseller status. Can anyone tell me what affect registering has a business on ebay has with the local council planning laws? In order to run a buisness from your home you need to inform the local council who will then charge you rates based on the business , also do you need to register with the tax office for VAT? What will happen if you register on ebay as a business but don't inform the council and they find out? can they backdate any rates owed? can you be fined? or even end up in prison?

I believe now that ebay has peaked and will see a large exodus of sellers leaving,they are only interested in the larger sellers selling 3 million items a week and rewarding them with discounts! the original concept of ebay being used to sell unwanted goods is no longer viable due to the ridiculous ebay,post and paypal fees.Ebay has devestated the high street shopping experience and is now mearly a marketplace mainly for new goods.I am a powerseller selling new and used goods but have decided to wrap it up and concentrate on my market stall instead,e bay was once a nice place to operate and you could make at least some profit out of it but now it is very difficult.I wonder what the guy who invented ebay thinks about how it has developed? probably doesn't care as he has made a massive fortune from it.

Resolved Question: My eBay seller has suddenly become "not a registered user". What's that all about?
There's nothing even remotely negative among his recent feedback comments and the guy is a powerseller based in Hong Kong selling computer games. He's not a pirate or anything, but after buying and paying yesterday, I've noticed in my eBay profile that he is now "not a registered user". The automated email I have from him says that it is Chinese New Year at the moment, and nothing will get sent out until 14 Feb, which is fine with me, but is he still likely to honour all his existing deals and send out my game, or should I file a claim with Paypal now. With nothing sinister in his comments history, surely he deserves the benefit of the doubt at the moment, especially with Chinese New Year in this part of the world, but I can't understand why he's sudeenly been suspended. Any theories? Should I start worrying? He has several thousand positive feedback comments and has honoured every other recent computer game deal, so I doubt he's a con artist. I'm just curious as to why his account seems to have been suspended. Maybe he's had a few complaints over the past week or so with the Chinese New Year thing and he is being penalised for that - other users being impatient. He doesn't seem to be a dodgy seller. There would be a lot more negatives showing up. Just had a closer look at his feedback. Some people mentioned that his games are pirates, despite his listing saying otherwise. Even so, at least he's sending stuff out! I'll be happy with that, as long as it works! It's just a question of whether he will honour the deal now. That I'm not sure of. 39 negatives since Dec 2004 - 3581 positives, all for the same kind of stuff. One or two comments indicate they believe his stuff to be fake, but gave a positive anyway. A smattering of neutral comments indicates the same thing. Only nine comments were mutually withdrawn. There's nothing that sinister about someone with a 98.9% positive rating, surely? Forgot to add - none of those 39 negatives are especially recent, and he was still getting positive feedback as of yesterday 11/2.

Hi, i brought tickets on ebay in november - apparently he hadn't received them from the promoters so he couldn't send them on to me. Anyway the concert is on the 26th of this month and after all the hassle i've had with this guy i just want my money back. He's a powerseller with good ratings and i paid through paypal. Will i get my money back? When i emailed him about a refund on one of the tickets he didn't reply. Am i covered through paypal?

Now I have bought , but never sold , well not yet. on E-bay . This looks like to me like dodgy mail which I have never opened. As you will know the site does include our 'name and id but this Powerseller stuff I'm not sure about as no name is on the mail I should think that this is a very common problem but getting it accross to E-bay is rather complicated so havn't bothered.

I came across ridiculously cheap services such as Parcel2Go recently, and I was astonished that for £7 I can get a 25kg package sent anywhere in the UK by DHL or CityLink! What is the basis of the business model of these companies? Do they purchase last minute spaces on courier transit vehicles? Also how reliable are these services to use as an eBay seller – seeing as I want my customers to have their item within 3 days of posting. Thanks.

I’m sure I qualify as a powerseller now, I’ve hit the GMV minimum for 3 months and met the minimum listings per month too. (No severe policy violations or negative feedback either). What I want to know is whether eBay review powerseller eligibility at the end of the month only? I watched watchdog on bbc tv last night and it would seem that some sellers are bullying people who leave negs to retract them ,if they want a refund for thier goods. I reported something along these lines to ebay about 6 months ago when i had problems with goods i bought and left a neg. I did not receive the goods after 2 weeks and my emails went unanswered ,left a neg,then i had a threat from the powerseller that i would not receive any refund unless i retracted the neg. , I contacted ebay and paypal yet ebay did not act nor did they seem to care ,but now because it's been on tv they come over like "shock horror ,this is against ebay rules,we must take action" So do ebay only care after they have been on TV?

Have you ever heard of anything so silly. I've been on ebay for about 3 years with 47 feedback all positive. I bought 2 ebooks for 1p. 1 how to be a powerseller, and the other secret of the 1p auction. I got suspended, and there reason "For safety of the ebay community" I asked how to get back on ebay, they said I had to provide passports etc with my photo and address visable, along with utility bill, no big problem so far, but this is the best bit. I have to supply receipts from the shops where I bought my items I sold, meaning I have to supply 5 year old HMV receipts for the CD's and DVD's I sold. Which like anyone I dont have. And if I dont have, I have to supply photos with my ebay name written on a bit of papper in the front of the items I sold. Now how the hell am I ment to do that on items I sold a couple of years ago?? I've never heard of anything so stupid. Anyone else get silly requests like this?
